IGL Charity Foundation is happy to announce the 2023 Scholarship application for Skill Acquisition fondly sponsored by a Brazilian-American Attorney and philanthropist, Fabricia Resende. This scholarship is in line with the goal and mission of IGL Charity Foundation which aims at helping less fortunate, talented, young people to achieve their academic goals. Such people are helped with scholarships and grants to pursue their studies or trade that they have passion for. IGL Charity Foundation desires to heal the world through Love. As such, it is also dedicated to other humanitarian services and social justice ministries as empowering the poor to start up small businesses to help them make ends meet.

PURPOSE OF THE 2023 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FOR SKILL ACQUISITION

After deep deliberations on the current economic state of Nigeria, IGL Charity Foundation, through the generous donation of Fabricia Resende Esq., in collaboration with the founder of IGL Charity Foundation, Rev. Mr. Jude Okeke, has decided to sponsor at least 20 (ten) industrious individuals in skill acquisition as a form of poverty alleviation program. Qualified applicants shall gain at least six months or one year of training sponsorship & shall be offered accommodation if need be.

MODE OF APPLICATION FOR THE 2023 SKILL ACQUISITION SCHOLARSHIP

Interested individuals should apply by writing a self-explanatory motivation letter of not more than 350 words, describing who they are, where they are from (state of origin), where they are located, their purpose in life, the skills they want to acquire (also where they are looking to possibly acquire the skills, if any), and why they should be selected for the scholarship. They should also attach a picture or two of themselves. 

This should be sent to the email address: office@iglcharities.com. on or before July 2, 2023. Successful candidates will be contacted through the details they provide. Please know that the information provided to us will be verified, and any insincerity will amount to disqualification.

POSSIBLE SKILLS TO ACQUIRE BY THE SELECTED APPLICANTS

      1. FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Forklift is a vehicle with a pronged device in front for lifting and carrying heavy loads, while a forklift operator is responsible for delivering, moving, loading, and unloading a variety of goods in warehouses and on construction sites.

2. CRANE OPERATOR

A crane is a type of machine, generally equipped with a hoist rope, wire ropes or chains, and sheaves, that can be used both to lift and lower materials and to move them horizontally. It is mainly used for lifting heavy objects and transporting them to other places.

3. TAILORING

Tailoring is the activity or trade of a tailor. It is the style or cut of a garment or garments. A tailor is a person whose occupation is making fitted clothes such as suits, trousers, and jackets to fit individual customers.

4. ANY OTHER SKILLS YOU MAY HAVE DESIRE FOR

NB:

● Individuals can suggest what they would like to learn or choose a skill not listed above, as well as suggest a verifiable place where they would want to acquire the skill.

● One person is entitled to only one application. Applications submitted twice shall be canceled automatically.

● The deadline for this application is July 2, 2023.

● The scholarship is strictly for those between the ages of 16 to 35 years.
